CBE steps into Creative Private Label with A2D2 Inc.!

without comments

Clothing Brand Experiment prides itself on being a Toronto-based company that loves to support other local companies and talent. One such company is A2D2, a group of driven acrobats and dancers. CBE has been working with A2D2 to produce the first CBE Creative Private Label line of hooded sweatshirts.

First off, we selecting suitable colours and cuts from our CBE hooded sweathsirt collection to compliment A2D2’s company and branding, A2D2 wanted a colourful mix to keep things lively. Then we established the best medium to brand which was decided to be embroidery.  With the help of Stitchy Lizard we had the samples made and perfected.  The finished product has the A2D2 company logo embroidered on the back of each hooded sweatshirt in a few electric colours.  Each of the A2D2 performers find the comfort of their CBE Private Label hoodies before and after their performances and we’ve heard they often find it hard to take them off and end up taking them home after the show.

“CBE has been super accommodating to us,” says Elisa DeAngelis, co-owner of A2D2 Inc. “We feel like CBE has a lot in common with our brand persona. We are both proud to be Toronto-based companies, and we like to reach out to our community. We both care about Toronto talent. Especially in our business, it’s so easy to outsource to get talent, but we look to Toronto first because there’s plenty of talent to choose from right here.”  A2D2 is a colourful and exuberant group of young entrepreneurs who offer extraordinary services and entertainment. They truly are a one of a kind circus company that we are proud to support!

On June 27th 2010, A2D2 is holding the Cirque Tea Party, a fundraiser with proceeds going to the Canadian Paraplegic Association. The event is taking place at Renaissance by the Creek in Mississauga, and tickets can be purchased at the A2D2 website. CBE has donated two hoodies for their silent auction.

CBE is proud to be the Creative Private Label of such a talented group of emerging entrepreneurs and talent. In the future, we look forward to more opportunities to produce a Creative Private Label with other interested companies.

Our friends at Monster Factory and Joy Apparel are having GIVEAWAYS!

without comments

It’s summer in Toronto, and apparently the weather is putting everyone in a good mood because our friends Monster Factory and Joy Apparel are having awesome giveaways!

Monster Factory and Vidafine have teamed up for a Scavenger Hunt Giveaway contest. They provide you with a monster named Buddy to print and cut out, and in order to qualify you have to take a picture of Buddy (or your very own Monster Factory monster, if you have one!) in the places and situations that Monster Factory has listed. The 1st place winner gets a $300 shopping spree at Monster Factory’s online store! The contest ends next Monday though, so if you’re interested in submitting then you should get on it right away!

Also, our good friends at Joy Apparel are having a contest of their own! Every Tuesday on their Facebook page, Joy T-Shirt is asking a “T-Shirt Tuesday” question about one of their showcased faces (check the website), and the first person to get the right answer wins a free t-shirt! Even more, if you have the picture of yourself that you submitted to Joy T-Shirt as your Facebook profile picture, you get 50% off your next Joy T-Shirt purchase! Such a great deal!

Way to go guys!

CBE LAUNCHES NEW T-SHIRT LINE!

without comments

You heard the news first. We’re launching a new line of t-shirts for Summer 2010 - a first for CBE. The t-shirts come in two fits: the CLASSIC and the DUO SLIM which are available in white, black and grey stripe. The Classic t-shirt is a unisex fit with sizing from S-XXL. The inventive Duo Slim t-shirt is cut closer to the body and allows you to interchange the front and back of the shirt—giving you either a crew neck or a scoop neck with sizing from S-XL. CBE rethought the basic tee with updated fits, but kept things simple with basic color options and craftsmanship. Importantly, these fresh and locally made t-shirts are reasonably priced at $28 - $34. They’re all made in Toronto, and going local has never looked so comfortable or so affordable.

Check out our online shop or make an appointment with the CBE studio to get yours. We’re located at 116 Geary Ave., Studio 201 in Toronto (Google Maps). Look fresh and stylish this summer in CBE’s new t-shirt line!

Behind the Scenes: CBE’s T-Shirt Photo Shoot!

without comments

Four models, one photographer, three interns and one Elly Green came together two Wednesdays ago to create photographic magic. It was a cold morning, but we stuck it out and the photos turned out great thanks to our talented photographer, Sean. Our gorgeous models Stina, Max, Mike and Jen rocked our t-shirts and wore them with style.

Freedom Fighter Skateboards hosted ”Another Disposable Art Show” which included a silent art auction (CBE hoodies included) with all proceeds going towards building skateboards for youth here and abroad. We attended, snapped some shots, enjoyed a beer and all the amazing designs, well done!  Being big fans of Nicholas Di Genova we couldn’t help but snap a close up of his 770 Butterflies, wow!
